Southampton airport. Nice little place Better than the big airports as there was Almost no wait to get to your gate. The plane was a smaller one but that's because the flights are only about 2 hours long.
Easy to get to using public transport and small enough that its hard to get lost. Make sure you check the dimensions of your hand luggage against your airlines rules before you arrive so you dont get caught out.
Just arrived for a flight, walked through security all happy looking forward to my family holiday, when a lady approaches as soon as we walked through the duty free and asked if she could do a survey I politely said I didnt, she pushed it will only take a few minutes, I said sorry I would rather not, again politely, she was like it wont take long, for the third time Im firmly said no. Please I would rather not give my data away. She mocked me with a well happy new year sarcastically and rudely delivered comment, then joined her two other team members to continue wining at me...management of the airport should remove this lady from her job if she cant be nice to people and respect no means no.
Decent facilities for its size. But beware the extortionate pricing of the short stay carpark. If you are picking someone up you should consider parking at the long stay where the first 30 minutes is free
Flew to Cork from Southampton for a family wedding. Was fairly happy with the airport, only issue was there was a slight delay on the flight but not sure if the airport can be blamed for that or the airline so 4 stars seems fair
