Easily reached from M27 and close to main line rail services (short taxi drive). Staff very helpful. Recommend especially the events team. Expect country house feel rather than anonymous hotel rooms.
Had an amazing spa day today. The staff were so attentive and the treatments were amazing. Laura and Angel were absolute stars.
The room was very cold and the sheets felt damp because of this. Attended for a company Xmas doo. Food was nice enough but sweet didn't arrive until after 9pm. Breakfast was a joke. No plates, no smooth replacement of empty hot plates, a poor lady had a whole tray of fried eggs spilt on her and no staff came to her assistance, she was scolded! Staff were pleasant enough but clearly underpaid and not particularly bothered about any complaints. Very tired hotel.
Facilities were lovely, very clean, not crowded and the staff were all extremely accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately the steam room was out of action but that didn't stop us from enjoying the rest of the facilities.The lady who did my facial and massage was fantastic, discussed any allergies, medical issues etc prior to commencing treatments. She was exceptionally good at her job, respected my modesty at all times and I left feeling so relaxed and almost floaty having felt the full benefit of my treatment.We also had lunch included within our package. There were a couple of issues as we are both vegan and I am coeliac but the receptionist spoke with the chef and they accommodated our dietary requirements without question and the food we had was not only extremely tasty and full of flavour but clearly piping hot and very fresh. I would definitely book here again if today is anything to go by.
Lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff, the room was very nice and the food was good too. Would stay again and recommend to anyone. The spa facilities are very good and the whole site is clean and warm, the only downside if I had to pick one is that the bar is not always manned but they are happy to help if you ask for service. My daughter and I had a great time for a girlie pamper session in the spa and had the girls night in package with pizza and dvd's in the hotel, thank you
