Served today by a very surly man, Keith, white beard. I had lost my tickets and he refused to contact Trainline. I had paid for by Visa, had all the details, but was basically ignorant and offered no solution except, you've got to buy new tickets. Also the state of the Gents toilets are worse than disgusting, don't think they have ever been cleaned since the station open in 1976, or was it 1876, so much dirt, its a wonder it is allowed to opened by Trading Standards. Seen cleaner Pig Pens.
The only good thing with this train station is their art deco facade but other than that, we found the staff there to be rude and unaccommodating. Vastly different than those at Portsmouth and Southsea. Good thing they're going to more automated kiosks than staff.
Very good for a busy station.

Poorly trained agency staff working Ticket Barriers, has some good facilities for food and drink and a good and reliable service.
