A WAKING NIGHTMARE, QUITE LITERLLY,, IVE NEVER MET A BUNCH OF PEOPLE SO INCOMPETENT YET SO BOLD AND RPOUD AND INSIGHTLESS. and when youve no chivce but to contact thjem,, there are no independernt menta heath organisations in southampton so yo have no choice...and they are alwasy invariably, in ameeting , on a visit etc,,,,
The only place that since I've been the adult mental health services that have cared, staff are friendly and my CCO is amazing, been through me during bad manic episodes and were very caring and explained everything after first getting diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. Sometimes they run a little late but they're caring for a lot of people and that's understandable.
Fantastic care staff are lovely doctors are understanding my mental health team is fantastic clinic staff are lovely and the receptionist's are always happy
I experienced verbal racist abuse from staff, I reported it and not much was done. Other CCO's had been dismissive of the severity of my problems and ignored my care plan to a dangerous level and then lied about it but is still working there. Psychiatrists are always late for their appointments by up to 1hr but only spent 10mins out of a 30-60min appointment.I was told college keep only treat people with drugs and and psychotic symptoms, and won't deal with anything else so if you are depressed , have ptsd you are stuffed. The recover college (steps to wellbeing) is a useless waste of time, it's basically a lecture with some pretty inaccurate information (psych post grad here). In the space of over a yr I have not received any support from them.The worst care I have seen as both a service user and as a mental health worker.
