I attended Miss May's clinic today and would like to compliment everyone on the kindness, courtesy and efficiency with which they carried out their tasks.
Professional health care service can never be taken for granted, with exception. If the rest of Southampton General Hospital's services are anything like their Ophthalmology/ Eye unit, then I believe the people of Southampton are so very lucky, to have, to boast such an exemplary, top of the league asset to be very proud of.. A first class, world class hospital beyond doubt.
I went there on Bank Holiday Monday . Receptionist was without any empathy. She offered appointment for next day. My eye was soor, red, swallen and painful. She treated me very unfriendly and cold. I think they should not pump any money for nhs until it's service improve . I do not wish any anemy such a emergency unit. Disgraceful ..........Now is 18.15 still sitting at home in horrible pain.... And no help....Thanks emergency unit
So my son regularly has eye checks here (every 6 months) the staff are really attentive and make sure it's clear from the offset that me and my son both no what's happening. The unit is clean and tidy my only issue would be the children's outpatients is a bit squished and you can't pay by card at the league of friends
