My mother is currently having radiotherapy treatment. The team of doctors and radiotherapists have all been very supportive. It helps make a difficult time a little more bearable .

I was on ward D4 after a nearly fatal motorbike accident the staff and team on this ward made it feel like home once i got to know them and i really could not fault any of there service physio team were truly amazing too understood my needs and we all worked together to get me out, i was in for a staggering 5 weeks and 4 days and after 9 operations in that time, im alive and one day i will walk again. If anyone from the hospital reads this really, D4 felt like a home to me

I travel around the country working with the NHS. The hardest part when you arrive to a hospital is finding various departments. Clive the porter was exceptional helping me find my way around. Clive has been working in his role as porter for 44 years. What a guy!!!

A leading hospital covering a huge array of disciplines in medicine. Parking is quite simple and reasonably priced. Theres multiple places to eat and many staff on hand to help you find your way around this large hospital. Adam :)

My dad was transferred to Southampton from Bournemouth hospital for heart surgery. My dad's operation was extremely risky as he has had heart problems for over 40 years, he's had triple bypass 35 yrs ago and 7 stents etc. We were extremely worried about surgery but knew he was going to die without it. He had surgery and he survived! This is purely down to the surgeons, theatre staff and expertise. He's now been in ICU for five days, the care and commitment by the staff has been incredible, we have been overwhelmed by their compassion towards patients and their loved ones. I am posting this in the hope that it may help someone else who's loved one is about to go through this. My dad's recovery has been a little slow but he's finally moving to high dependency tomorrow and we are so proud of him. Thank you to all the staff at Southampton, the cardiac ward, the cardiac ICU staff, surgeons and theatre staff too. We have witnessed the air ambulance land 3 times, we have seen the result of this incredible service first hand. We appreciate that not all wards are going to be great and there's always going to be long waiting times which ever hospital you attend. The most important thing is to save lives and improve the quality of life that this hospital excels in this area. Thank you for saving my dad!
