I entered the post office then came out 4 years older after waiting in those queues. Every time I visit, I feel I've lost apart of my soul. The staff are rude and I've even witnessed them letting their friends or people they know jump ahead of the queue.
Slowest post office in existence. Staff don't care about processing the queue quickly. Avoid at all costs!!!!
I am very disappointed with the service from one particular staff member ! I used this post office to renew my passport , I used the check and send option . As I was queueing up , this lady staff member was shrieking at this elderly man so that the whole shop could hear the conversation plus the people across the street ! Poor chap , okay if he was deaf but she was talking to him like he was stupid . Then it was my turn to b seen , as she was checking the documents , I had forgot to fill in one section , as well as not taking my old passport which could be easily amended on my next attempt . However , I was told to get a new set of photos , even though the ones I had were from an actual photo booth in tescos . The reasoning was because I was too far back in the photo and there was a slight smudge to my hair from the camera lens . She informed I could get some beautiful photos from the camera man in the shop. I decided to leave the photos and do it another day , so I left pretty annoyed as it would mean purchasing another set of photos and getting another counter signature to that photo . When looking at the photos at home I could not understand what was actually wrong with them and they appeared to abide by the government website for right photos . After a couple of days I decided to go back to the same post office with all my documentation and the same photos to see if I could get served by another member of staff And see if they had the same perspective . When I got there the same lady was there but luckily got served by another staff member . This lady had no issues with the photos and sent all the documents off , I received my passport a couple of days later with no problems at all . I recommend to not renew or apply for a passport at this post office unless you Avoid this particular member of staff . Very rude and unhelpful .
Double checked the opening hours to find that that they are totally incorrect. Opening hours are advertised as 9am until 1730hrs. This post office shuts at 4pm on a Saturday- oops sorry correction their clock is at least 10 minutes ahead of Greenwich mean time you cannot access the branch 15 minutes before closing!!!! So they in fact close at 1545hrs. The staff are very rude closing the door in your face!! No wonder the post office is in such a bad state of affairs. It is the busiest time of the year and they are happy to slam doors in customer faces. I would not recommend this particular post office to anyone and would rather pay the extortionate fees of a courier company than give them my hard earned money- shame on you shirley avenue post office. Merry Christmas.
Very rude! They closed post office what time is good for them! Don't worry about opening times! Never know which one is good for them! Other people working as well!
