Great hotel, nice rooms and fantastic service. Don't be afraid by the 3* category, this hotel is better than most of the 4* in the area.
Wonderful stay. Great breakfast. Close to shopping and sites. Front desk service was excellent.
Usually stay here the night before our cruises, but on this visit were a little disappointed by cleanliness of hotel.There was glass bottles abandoned in the corridor when we first went to our room, potentially from guests visiting Southampton for the beer festival that evening.I've given 3/5 as not sure how much of the issues were down to the hotel staff - but not the best experience at a holiday in. There was 2 cruise ships leaving in the morning and it appeared staff were over-run - things were not great but as we've normally had a good stay I will give staff benefit of doubt.Advice - don't stay here when the beer festival is on.(**Review relates to our visit in October 2018)
Room and stay was okay. Beware of traffic noise due to its proximity to the street. Theres a loose sewer lid thats adding to the nightly Orchestra; clunk, clink, clunk all night as each car drives over the sewer cover. Service is fine but insufficient; hundreds of guests with only two staffers running dining area and only one clerk at front desk. Im typing this review while waiting in line to check out.
Really beautiful hotel - looked a little shabby from the outside but we thought 'Well it's only for one night'. We were pleasantly surprised though as the foyer/dining area and our rooms were clean, neat, tidy and spacious. I will definitely stay here again.
