Great room and great staff. Travelodge is always very clean but this one sparkled. I would recommend a 15 min walk on the common for breakfast at the Hawthorns cafe. The room was comfy and big.
Review would have been better if the hotel had bothered to make up my room today. If you book a hotel room for more than one night it is only reasonable to expect it to be serviced. Travelodge did this to me last week also. Is it now their policy?
Parking facilities not adequate. Room okay, comfortable bed, not nice pillows though. good shower. Noisy room facing main road.
This is an old BT building and had lost none of it's charm. Reminded me of a barracks. Staff not over friendly when I questioned why the lock on my door didn't work (we eventually deduced it did work but was like no other lock I've ever seen) and why it was held in with silicone sealant. The place itself desperately needs a lick of paint. If you have the option to stay elsewhere, take it. Bed was comfortable which is why I have given 2 stars and not 1.
Past is 'sell by date' and badly in need of a facelift. Room and bathroom and bedding clean, no problems there, but carpets b are looking work and stained. However, it's still great value and in a good, almost Central position.
